Hello, I’m Catherine!

I’m a UX Designer based in Roswell, Georgia. I create digital designs

that are beautiful, effective, and enjoyable for every kind of user.

SparkBot Marketing

A remarkable agency that dreams of helping small businesses grow and flourish. I helped them refresh their desktop website design with their incredible clientele in mind.

Google UX Design Professional Certificate

A freelance photographer’s first foray into the wonderful world of UX Design, featuring a fictional wedding planning company. I designed a mobile app as part of my Google UX Design Certificate capstone project for a wedding venue that makes ceremony checklists for couples and wedding planners.

A little about the person behind the computer:

My legal name is Catherine, but please, call me Cathy.

I am a proud alumna of The University of Georgia, and graduated with my BS in Psychology in 2013. Before I transitioned into UX Design, I worked as a freelance photographer for over 10+ years and eventually opened my own company, Marszalik Photography LLC.

My favorite things I’ve photographed are: weddings, The UGA Redcoat Marching Band (and especially at the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship), and the many bright college graduates during their grad shoots.

After over a decade of shooting, I was ready to try something new, take a leap of faith, and change careers. I heard about UX Design and was immediately fascinated. The field combined many of my interests and skills: psychology, visual art, and technology. I knew I had to give it a shot (no pun intended).

Outside of work, I enjoy running, playing video games (especially Pokemon), and hanging out with my little parrot, Cheek.

I am addicted to Orangetheory Fitness, Bath and Body Works candles, and eating sushi with my sweet fiancé. My favorite color is yellow, favorite season is autumn, and favorite musician is Sufjan Stevens.

Last thing, I am a Cancer cusp Leo, which explains why I am both creative and emotionally intuitive, yet brave and willing to take risks.

That’s about it! Thanks for taking the time to check out my work, and getting to know a little about me.

Before I give you the contact info and let you go, my last pitch: I am hard-working, empathetic, and creative. I am excited to land my first full time position as a UX Designer, and can promise you that I’ll work just as hard, if not harder than I did as a freelance photographer in the past decade. I look forward to growing together with an amazing team, improving my skills as a creative, and creating beautiful designs for many brands and companies to come. Thanks for giving me a shot.
